Dump fees per tonne: read the whole schedule
Weight is only one part of the bill. Minimums, material categories and load rules matter.

Metric tonnes, not US tons
One metric tonne equals 1,000 kg. One pound equals 0.45359237 kg. If a quote says “ton”, ask which unit it means before comparing it with a Canadian per-tonne fee.
Start with the minimum charge
A generic weight-based fee is the greater of the minimum charge and weight in tonnes multiplied by the rate. This simple formula does not cover every facility: thresholds, weight rounding, caps and transaction fees can change it. Read the whole schedule.
A deposit is not another fee
An upfront deposit may be reconciled after weighing out. Keep the final scale ticket and receipt. Do not add the deposit to the final disposal charge unless it is genuinely a separate, non-refundable cost.
